Your Guide to Giving
- Be 18 years or older and a legal U.S. resident.
- Nominate a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit that serves Lancaster, Lebanon, or Berks Counties.
- Ensure the organization has not been a Letters to Santa winner in the past two years.
- Provide a valid email address and one complete submission (limit one per person).
- A short letter (no more than 3 minutes to read aloud) describing why your favorite nonprofit deserves a holiday gift.
- The nonprofit’s name and mission, plus how they make a difference in our community.
- A photo upload or link that helps tell their story.

- No purchase or payment is necessary to enter or win. The contestant does not have to be an ENB bank customer. Purchase will not increase your odds of winning. The 501(c)(3) registered nonprofit organization must physically have locations within Lancaster, Berks, or Lebanon Counties or service these communities (animal-serving organizations not included, see below for further details). Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
- Entry Period: The Ephrata National Bank Letters to Santa Contest entry period begins November 3, 2025, and ends November 17, 2025, at 11:59 pm EST. Only the first fifty (50) organizations received during the entry period will qualify for the Letters to Santa Contest. Ephrata National Bank is the official timekeeper for this contest.
- Eligibility: The contestant must be 18 years of age or older and a legal resident of the United States as of November 3, 2025, to win. Officers, directors, and employees of Ephrata National Bank and their families, subsidiaries, affiliated companies, agents, and advertising agencies are not eligible to enter or win. The contestant must have a valid email address to participate in the contest. The contest is limited to those organizations which: (1) have locations physically located within Lancaster, Berks, or Lebanon Counties or service these communities, (2) are registered with the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) entity, excluding 501(c)(3) organizations whose mission and purpose is to serve animals in any manner, and (3) have not been a “Letters to Santa Contest” Winner in the last two years.
- How to Enter: All entries will be collected on the Ephrata National Bank website at https://www.epnb.com/letters-to-santa-contest and must include:
a. Submission of a letter on the Ephrata National Bank landing page telling us why your favorite qualifying 501(c)(3) nonprofit deserves to win a holiday gift from Ephrata National Bank. The letter must:
i. Identify the name of the nonprofit organization
ii. Explain how the organization is making a difference in our communities, identify what the organization does and who they are helping
iii. Describe why you think they deserve to win
iv. Take no longer than 3 minutes to read aloud
b. Completion of the Entry Form and upload or link an accompanying photograph at the time of letter submission. Limit of one (1) entry per person regardless of how many email accounts are held by a person. For the purpose of this contest, the entry consists of all of the information submitted by the person nominating the organization, including but not limited to the Letter to Santa, the entry form, and a photograph. Submission of the entry implies your agreement that the entry meets the Entry Requirements and Contest Restrictions of this contest. Ephrata National Bank reserves the right to edit entries to fit video requirements, disqualify entries, or remove them entirely from the contest if it believes that the entry fails to meet entry requirements or violates any of the Official Rules. This contest is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with Facebook. Facebook’s terms apply to this contest and can be viewed at www.facebook.com/legal/terms. Submission of a letter on the Ephrata National bank landing page telling us why your favorite 501(c)(3) nonprofit deserves to win a holiday gift from Ephrata National Bank. The letter must:
- The organization identified in the letter must be a 501(c)(3) designated nonprofit organization serving Lancaster, Lebanon, or Berks Counties whose works are inspirational and positively impact the community.
- The organization must be one of the first fifty (50) eligible organizations received by Ephrata National Bank during the entry period.
- The organization may not be a winner of the Letters to Santa Contest from the prior two (2) calendar years.
- The entry must be in English, and the information contained in the entry must be true and verifiable.
- You must create the entry and have exclusive rights to the letter and photographs. The letter and photographs cannot have been used in other contests.
- By submitting your entry, you acknowledge and agree that any information provided within the entry that may be considered personally identifiable about yourself or a third party appearing in your entry is non-proprietary and non-confidential. If your entry contains information that could be considered personally identifiable for yourself or a third party, you agree that you are solely responsible for obtaining necessary releases and consents to use the information in this contest prior to submitting your entry and submission of your entry represents to Ephrata National Bank that you have obtained these releases and consents. Proof of release and consent must be able to be provided to Ephrata National Bank upon request. Failure to provide releases and consents may disqualify you from the contest.
- Entry must not violate or infringe on any copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other personal or proprietary rights of any person or entity.
- Entry may not, as determined at Ephrata National Bank’s sole discretion, contain, depict, or discuss any of the following: (i) any illegal, immoral, obscene, profane, lewd, inappropriate, disparaging, libelous, defamatory or offensive material; (ii) questionable content inappropriate for publication or reproduction including but not limited to, nudity, pornography, profanity or inclusion of drugs or alcohol; (iii) racial, ethnic, religious or sexually derogatory representations or slurs; (iv) any threats to persons, places or entities, or (v) any material that suggests or promotes violence or dangerous activity that could result in injury, and your video must not have been dangerous or unsafe to make. Entry must comply with all local and federal laws, regulations, and applicable network and Facebook posting terms and conditions. Ephrata National Bank reserves the right in its sole discretion to reject or disqualify any entry and/or remove any entry from the Ephrata National Bank contest for any reason, including but not limited to entries that Ephrata National Bank believes do not comply with entry requirements or contest regulations as outlined in the Official Rules. Incomplete, illegible, and non-complying entries will not be permitted and will be rejected. Decisions of Ephrata National Bank on all matters relating to this contest will be final and binding. Ephrata National Bank will not edit entries and disclaims any and all liability in conjunction with the screening, monitoring, or reviewing of the content of entries. Submission of an entry is solely the responsibility of the person submitting the entry, and all internet access, usage access, and mobile data usage charges are their sole responsibility. No automatic, programmed, robotic, or similar means of entry are permitted. The organization and/or person submitting the entry acknowledges and agrees that upon submission, Ephrata National Bank has the right to use the entry on its website, social networking sites, and any websites it controls or operates. The organization and/or person submitting the entry agrees that they will not use the entry for any other commercial purpose other than to enter this contest. Except as otherwise stated in these Official Rules, personal information collected in connection to this contest will be used in accordance with Ephrata National Bank’s Privacy Policy (https://www.epnb.com/privacy-policy/) and with any consent given at the time of entry. A copy of the Official Rules is available until December 31, 2025, on the Ephrata National Bank website landing page, after which a copy of the rules can be obtained by mailing a self-addressed stamped envelope to Marketing, Ephrata National Bank, PO Box 457, Ephrata, PA 17522.
- Judging and the Determination of Winners: Eligible entries meeting the Entry Requirements and Contest Restrictions as described in these Official Rules will be judged by a panel of independent, qualified judges selected by Ephrata National Bank. Contest judging and determinations are at the sole and absolute discretion of the judges, and such decisions and determinations are not subject to further review or appeal by contestants, their designee, representative, attorney, or any other third party. Due to the unique nature of the contest, Ephrata National Bank cannot accurately predict the number of Entries that will be submitted for the contest. The odds of winning depend on the nature, quality, and number of eligible entries received. Judging of Finalists: At the close of the entry period, a subcommittee consisting of three (3) judges shall review all eligible entries in accordance with the evaluation rubric set forth below:
0 – 5 6 – 10 Story Impact The story provides some context but is limited in detail or emotional connection. It touches on impact but may not fully illustrate the difference made. The story is compelling, detailed, and personal. It clearly communicates the difference made and creates a strong emotional connection with the reader. Perceived Impact
of the Financial GiftThe gift is appreciated but described in general terms, with limited explanation of how it will be used or its tangible results. The gift is shown to have a significant and specific impact. The description clearly demonstrates how the funds will be applied and the meaningful difference they will make.
The subcommittee shall select the ten (10) highest-scoring entries from the total of fifty (50) received. These ten (10) entries will then be submitted to ENB’s Contributions Committee. Each member of the Contributions Committee shall independently evaluate and assign points to each entry using the same rubric. The three (3) entries receiving the highest cumulative point totals shall be deemed the finalists.
Entry Posting and Voting: Ephrata National Bank will post the three finalists’ letters, any accompanying photographs submitted with their entries, and a video announcing the finalists after the internal judging portion of the contest. The bank reserves the right to shorten or condense the letter in the if necessary. Ephrata National Bank will then post the Finalists’ Entries for voting on a specific contest page on the Ephrata National Bank website from December 1, 2025 to December 8, 2025, through 11:59 pm EST. During this timeframe, the public will be invited to vote for their favorite Finalist on the contest page. Voting is limited to one (1) vote per person during the voting period regardless of how many email accounts are held by a person. More than one vote per person will void all votes submitted by that person regardless of varied email addresses held by that person. No automatic, programmed, robotic, or similar voting means will be permitted.
At the conclusion of the voting period, the Finalist with the most votes will be the (potential) winner. In the event of a tie among Finalists, the number of votes received in the voting process, the judges will re-judge the tied Finalist’s entries according to the judging criteria until a Finalist is determined. Ephrata National Bank has the final say in the determination of any winner. - Winner Notification: The Winner will be notified via the preferred contact method identified in the entry by December 9, 2025. If the winner does not respond within two (2) business days of the date of notification, the prize may be forfeited, and the Organization with the next highest number of votes may become an alternate winner. Potential winners may be required to provide a mailing address (no PO Box) for prize fulfillment and may be required to sign and return a notarized Affidavit of Eligibility/Ownership/Liability Release and Copyright Assignment and (except where prohibited) Publicity Release within two (2) business days of the date of prize notification in order to be eligible for the prize. In the event that the names, likenesses, images, or personal information of any third parties appear in the potential winner’s entry, the potential winner may be required to provide a signed release and assignment of rights from each person named, shown, or otherwise depicted in the entry (and in the case of minors, from the minor’s parent or legal guardian) within two (2) business days of the prize notification date. In the event of non-compliance with any of these requirements, the prize may be forfeited, and the Contestant with the next highest score may be selected as an alternate potential winner. Unclaimed prizes and/or forfeited prizes may not be awarded.
- Prizes: Ephrata National Bank will award one (1) Grand Prize of $15,000 to the Organization with the highest number of votes; one (1) 2nd Place Prize of $5,000 to the Organization with the second highest number of votes; and one (1) 3rd Place Prize of $3,000 to the Organization with the third highest number of votes. Ephrata National Bank also plans (but is not required to) feature the winning Finalist’s story on the Ephrata National Bank social media and websites. Limit of one (1) prize per 501(c)(3) designated nonprofit organization. Prizes are not transferable. All taxes and expenses, including, without limitation, sales tax, luxury tax, and any other costs incurred claiming or using any of the prizes, are the sole responsibility of the winner. Any difference between the approximate retail value and the actual value of any prize set forth in these Official Rules may not be claimed and will not be awarded.
